Integrated Profile of Care for COPD: Piedmont Region
The Integrated Profile of Care (PIC) of the Piedmont Region for COPD was published in August 2010. It is based on the development of the project A.Re.SS “P.D.T.A. in Internal Medicine” which is operating since 2007 and is aimed at defining the guidelines and the development for the integrated management of chronic diseases of internal medicine area (COPD, Heart Failure and Chronic liver disease). Its purpose is to provide all those involved in the process of care (hospitals, ASL, Reference Centres for disease, Districts, etc.) with simple, easy to apply indications for the construction of a course of treatment that will guarantee basic and uniform levels of intervention to patients with COPD.
